Turriff District Agricultural Association was delighted to win the Northern Lights Aberdeenshire Tourism Initiative Award in 2008. The award recognises and celebrates excellence in the tourism industry.
We look forward to the 145th Turriff Show to be held on Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd August 2009. Turriff Show is part of the ‘Homecoming Scotland’ celebrations. Overseas visitors will be warmly welcomed in a special hospitality marquee located in a prime position by the main arena and there will be many special attractions at the Show this year. Ally Bain and Phil Cunningham will start the celebrations with a large marquee concert on the evening of Friday 31st July 2009.
We would expect about 700 horse and pony entries and 40 goats on the Sunday, and 450 cattle, 450 sheep and 40 Clydesdale horses on the Monday. In addition there are fur and feather classes and an Open Dog Show on the Sunday with poultry and a Companion Dog Show on the Monday.

There are over 250 trade stands, a renowned food fare, indoor shopping mall, lifestyle marquee, a special forestry area and a special educational area for children plus Codona’s funfair.
The Industrial Marquee is one of the largest in the country with over 1600 home based craft exhibits and an excellent horticultural show.
Each day has an extensive ringside entertainment programme with many special attractions including in 2009 the famous Bolddog Lings Freestyle Motorcycle Display Team.
