Turriff District Agricultural Association was delighted to win the Northern Lights Aberdeenshire Tourism Initiative Award in 2008. The award recognises and celebrates excellence in the tourism industry.
We look forward to the 146th Turriff Show to be held on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd August 2010. Turriff Show is hosting the Scottish National Simmental Show this year and a good entry from a wide geographical area is anticipated. We will have a new state of the art exhibition hall at this year’s Show including new toilet facilities. There will also be additional car parking and an expansion of trade stand area to include an area for ‘renewables’, plant and machinery.
We would expect about 700 horse and pony entries and 40 goats on the Sunday, and 450 cattle, 450 sheep and 40 Clydesdale horses on the Monday. In addition there are fur and feather classes and an Open Dog Show on the Sunday with poultry and a Companion Dog Show on the Monday.

There are over 250 trade stands, a renowned food fare, indoor shopping mall, exhibition hall with a ‘lifestyle theme’, a special forestry area and a special educational area for children plus Codona’s funfair.
The Industrial Marquee is one of the largest in the country with over 1600 home based craft exhibits plus an excellent horticultural show.
Each day has an extensive ringside entertainment programme with many special attractions including in 2010 the famous Devil’s Horsemen, sheep racing and sulky trotting.
