TURRIFF SHOW LADIES DAY

About Ladies Day

Turriff Show Ladies Day was established in 2018 with the aim of raising money for charities.

In previous years the Ladies Day Committee have been overwhelmed by the amount donated to such worthy charities such as Charlie House, Mental Health Aberdeen, Clan Cancer Care and Home Start Deveron.

Chosen Charities

This years chosen charities are Scottish Huntington’s Association, The World Suicide Prevention Project (TWSPP) and Turriff and District Agricultural Association.

From the total monies raised Scottish Huntington’s Association, TWSPP (The World Suicide Prevention Project) and Turriff Show will each receive £7624.26.

Scottish Huntingtons Association

Scottish Huntington’s Association will ring-fence this money to stay within the Grampian area, at our request. It will help fund their HD Specialist and Financial Wellbeing service to operate in Grampian.

The World Suicide Prevention Project (TWSPP)

TWSPP will use their money to put towards their new drop-in centre, which is due to open in Fraserburgh in December. The money will go towards keeping their service running so they have face to face support available for anyone who wants to walk in, and to support the groups they have running on a Wednesday night. They hope to be able to run more groups now that they have their own facility.

Turriff Show is facing ever increasing costs, and this money will help towards this.
